Hubert Hurkacz has claimed his second ATP Masters 1000 title with a thrilling win at the Rolex Shanghai Masters. The Polish star fought back from the brink of defeat, saving one match point to overcome Andrey Rublev in an enthralling encounter.

A Thrilling Three-Set Battle

The match was a three-set epic, with Hurkacz taking the first set 6-3. Rublev fought back to level the scores in the second set with a 3-6 victory. The third set was a nail-biting affair, with Hurkacz eventually triumphing 7-6(8).

Rublev had the chance to seal the match when he served for it at 5-3 in the third set, but Hurkacz held his nerve to break back. The Pole then dominated the tiebreaker, taking it 8-6 to secure the victory.

Hurkacz's win marks his second ATP Masters 1000 title, having previously triumphed at the Miami Open in 2021. The victory also moves him up to 11th in the Pepperstone ATP Live Race To Turin, boosting his chances of qualifying for the year-end ATP Finals.
