At 18 decks high, 348 metres long and weighing 168,666 tons, the Resilient Lady is the equal-4th largest cruise ship in the world. It can accommodate more than 2,700 passengers and more than 1,100 crew.

The ship’s arrival marks the beginning of the 2023 cruise season in Western Australia, which is expected to see more than 200,000 passengers visit the state.

Fremantle Port Authority chief executive officer Michael Parker said the arrival of the Resilient Lady was a significant milestone for the port and the city of Fremantle.

“This is the first time that Fremantle has welcomed a cruise ship of this size, and it is a testament to the growing popularity of cruising in Western Australia,” Mr Parker said. “The arrival of the Resilient Lady is a major boost to the local economy, and we look forward to welcoming many more cruise ships and passengers to Fremantle in the coming months.”

The Resilient Lady will depart Fremantle on Sunday for Melbourne, before continuing on to Sydney and Brisbane.
